IT - My Qualifications

I have worked in the Information Technology field (better known as IT) for the last 15 years. 

Having worked in a wide variety of contract positions - the experience has provided me with a very broad range of skills and exposure.  My Career in the IT field  has  been mainly  centered around Computer Support. My CompTIA A+ Certification combined with an ASW complimented by my current skillset provides for a great set of tools for an individual making a great addition to YOUR team! 

My experience would not be complete without mentioning that everyone I have ever met during the course of my career has made some kind of impact on me personally and have contributed to both what I have learned and my skillsets and I thank each and every one of them. Meeting others.. be it good or bad experience.. is always good since it provides you new tools in the ability to work with others and become a better Tech and Team Player. 

My U.S. Navy military background and experience has also provided for an excellent source of responsibility as well as attention to deal, discipline, dedication, tenacity and Strength.

I am able to work within the box as well as think outside the box. This provides me the ability to operate within the rules provided while at the same time finding resolution that may not exist within the confined walls.  I am very good at what I do and I work very hard for each company or individual. I am the type of individual that can hit the ground running. If I run into something new and challenging, I use every resource available to figure it out and understand what it takes to resolve the issue. 

During the course of my career, I have provided Corporate and Private Consulting and Support.

My skills:

Building and rebuilding desktops, towers and laptops down to motherboard level.

Troubleshooting and repairing desktops, towers and laptops down to motherboard level.

Installation and configuration of Software.

Troubleshooting, Swapping, upgrading and installing of RAM.

Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Printers (stand alone or networked).

Experience with helpdesk call centers and first resolution of calls.

Handling of customer service via phone, email, deskside, remote support.

Ticket systems used include Remedy, Alteris

Installation and configuration of Windows 3.1 through Windows 7.
